Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.

Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Thor Kitchen designs its cooktops
On a Thor gas rangetop or cooktop, one spark module serves every sealed burner, and a small switch on each valve stem tells it when to fire. That layout explains the usual complaints. If every igniter keeps snapping after the knob is off, one of those stem switches has shorted or water from a boil-over is tracking to ground. If only one burner struggles, the fault is local: ports caked with residue, a cap sitting askew, or a ceramic igniter split by a cast-iron grate set down too hard. The big high-BTU burners show a partial clog sooner than the simmer burner does. On Thor induction models, a zone quitting mid-cook is usually heat protection, from a fan that has slowed or vents boxed in by cabinetry.
Common failure points on Thor Kitchen cooktops
- Clicking that won't stop
- Electrode cracked by a dropped grate
- Lazy flame from blocked ports
- Burner cap not seated
- Induction zone overheating

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Let the burners dry completely, which can take a few hours. If the clicking continues after that, an ignition switch or the spark module has likely failed.
Blocked cooling vents, cookware it doesn't recognize or a failing power board can all cause it. We check in that order.
