Avanti Cooktop Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords

We are independent and have no tie to Avanti. If the cooktop is still inside its Avanti warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.

Stacked & closet laundry
Townhouses and condos often put a stacked washer-dryer in an upstairs closet, so a small drip can end up staining the room underneath. Tell us where the machines sit.
Condo & high-rise rules
Many managed buildings ask for a certificate of insurance, a reserved freight elevator or set work hours. Check with yours and pass the rules along when you book.
Parking & access
Visitor spaces, garage clearance, gate codes and front-desk sign-in all shape a visit. Mention them at booking so nothing holds up the diagnosis.
Rentals & landlords
A tenant can book the visit. We report the fault and the price to the owner or property manager, who signs off before any work starts.
Garages, heat & humidity
A garage fridge or freezer can struggle through a hot, humid summer or a hard cold snap without any part failing. Check the temperature range in its manual.
Straight answers
When an older appliance isn't worth repairing, we say so and explain exactly which part failed.

How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us What's Wrong

Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.

02

Diagnosis at Your Home

The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.

03

A Price Before Work

We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.

04

Repair and Check

The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.

Inside an Avanti cooktop

Avanti builds small cooktops in several styles: gas models with sealed burners and spark ignition, coil models, and smooth glass tops with radiant elements underneath. On gas cooktops, the usual faults are an igniter that won't spark after a spill, a spark switch that sticks, or a burner cap that isn't seated. On electric models, a coil element or its receptacle burns out, or the infinite switch behind the knob fails, leaving one zone stuck on high or dead. Glass tops add a hot-surface indicator and a limiter on each zone. We test the switch and element with a meter, which usually tells us in a few minutes which one has failed.

Common failure points on Avanti cooktops

  • Infinite switch stuck on high
  • Coil receptacle burned and loose
  • Spark electrode cracked or fouled
  • Radiant element open under the glass
  • Burner cap sitting crooked

Safe checks to try before booking are on our general cooktop guide.

Avanti Cooktop FAQ

Still have a question?

Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.

Yes, stop using that zone. A loose coil usually means the terminal block it plugs into has burned or pitted, which causes arcing. We replace the receptacle and usually the element with it.

Often, yes. If the igniter clicks but no flame appears, we check the gas supply to that burner, the cap and ports, and the electrode gap. Constant clicking with the knobs off points to a wet or failed spark switch.
