KitchenAid Cooktop Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to KitchenAid. If the cooktop is still inside its KitchenAid warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How KitchenAid designs its cooktops
KitchenAid gas cooktops light their sealed burners by spark, and a boil-over that soaks a spark switch sets the igniters clicking without end. A misaligned burner cap causes uneven flame or failure to light. Electric radiant models lose elements or the switches that feed them. Induction models depend on power boards and a cooling fan; a blocked fan intake or failed board shuts down zones. Downdraft models add a blower that can clog with grease. We check spark and flame on gas tops, element continuity on electric, and board output and fan function on induction before recommending a repair.

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Check whether control lock is on; holding the lock key for a few seconds usually releases it. If it still won't respond, the touch control or board may need testing.
