How Bertazzoni designs its cooktops
Bertazzoni gas cooktops use dual-ring power burners and flame-failure valves on every burner. The dual-ring crown has to sit correctly on its base, or flames will be uneven or the burner won't light. A thermocouple that's worn, dirty or pushed out of the flame lets the burner go out when you release the knob. Spark electrodes can crack or foul, and a boil-over can wet a spark switch and cause constant clicking. Simmer problems usually come from a dirty or misaligned burner. Induction cooktops use power boards and cooling fans, and they shut off if they overheat. We clean, reseat and test parts before replacing anything.
Common failure points on Bertazzoni cooktops
- Thermocouple bent out of the flame
- Dual-ring crown seated crooked
- Spark electrode cracked
- Switch wet from boil-over, constant sparking
- Induction zone overheating and shutting off

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
The dual-ring crown and cap may not be seated correctly after cleaning. Lift them off, make sure the ports are clear and dry, and reseat them. If it's still uneven, the burner may need adjustment.
It's usually the thermocouple or its valve magnet, not the gas. Make sure you hold the knob for several seconds. If it still goes out, we test the thermocouple and valve.
