SMS Terms & Conditions
Effective: September 28, 2026
The program
TrueFix Virginia, a business of TrueFix Virginia, sends text messages to customers who have opted in. Every message relates to a repair you have booked or asked us about. The program carries no advertising and no promotional offers.
How you opt in
Opting in means ticking the consent box, which is never pre-ticked, and then sending either our text sign-up form or our repair request form. Only the subscriber or usual user of the mobile number may tick the box. Doing so and submitting the form counts as your express written consent to receive these texts at that number.
Consent to texts is not required to purchase any service. If you leave the box blank, we will still schedule, perform and invoice the repair and keep you informed by phone or email.
Types of messages
- a booking confirmation, followed by a reminder ahead of the visit;
- notice that the technician is on the way, or that the arrival window has changed;
- status updates on an ordered part and on scheduling the return visit to install it;
- a link to your invoice or receipt;
- answers to questions you text to us.
Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies by job. A single visit might involve two or three texts, while a repair held up by a back-ordered part can involve several more. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. We make no charge for the messages, though your carrier might.
Stopping the texts
Reply STOP to any message from us to opt out. UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT and STOPALL work the same way, and you can also ask us by phone or email. After you opt out we send a single text confirming it and nothing further. To start receiving texts again, sign up once more through the sign-up form.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any of our messages for our contact information, or use the details listed at the bottom of this page.
Delivery, carriers and changing your number
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Delivery needs mobile coverage. Messages can arrive late, or not at all, during network outages or in areas with weak signal.
- Before you cancel or switch your mobile number, reply STOP from it or tell us, so that texts meant for you do not go to the number's next owner.
- Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our Privacy Policy covers how we treat personal information more broadly.
Other terms and future changes
These SMS terms sit alongside our Terms of Service. When we revise them, the effective date shown at the top of the page changes too.
