Electrolux Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
Electrolux is the Swedish parent of Frigidaire, and the Electrolux-badged appliances sold in North America are its step-up line. They share a good deal of hardware with Frigidaire's Gallery and Professional models, which keeps fault patterns familiar and many parts easy to source. We are an independent repair company with no role in Electrolux's warranty network, so an appliance still under the maker's coverage should go to Electrolux first. After that, we test it where it's installed, show you what failed and quote the fix before any work starts.
How a Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.

The Swedish group behind the badge
The Electrolux Group is headquartered in Stockholm and sells appliances around the world under several names. In North America its biggest brand is Frigidaire, and the Electrolux name sits above it with more steam, convection and finish options. Ranges for both brands are built at the company's plant in Springfield, Tennessee, and refrigeration comes from its operation in Anderson, South Carolina.
For a repair, the family resemblance is useful. An Electrolux French-door refrigerator or slide-in range often shares compressors, fans, igniters, elements and sensors with a Frigidaire cousin, even though the panels and controls look different.
Features that add parts to check
Electrolux leans on extras: SmartBoost on washers, which premixes detergent and water before it reaches the drum; steam generators on washers and dryers; air fry and air sous vide modes on some ranges. Each feature adds a valve, a pump, a heater or a sensor, and each one can fail without affecting the rest of the machine.
So when a steam cycle stops working but a normal wash runs fine, we test that feature's circuit instead of assuming the main board has gone.
Front-loaders on upper floors
Electrolux front-load pairs are common in remodeled townhouses and condos where the laundry sits in a closet on the bedroom level. On a wood-framed floor, a machine that isn't level transmits spin vibration through the joists, and a leak at the door boot or the pump reaches the ceiling below before anyone sees it.
We check leveling and look under the drum on every washer visit, and we point out a missing drain pan or a supply hose that has aged past its useful life.
Electrolux products we see
- Refrigerators: French-door, counter-depth and side-by-side models, plus older ICON built-in columns. Ice compartment frost, ice maker jams, evaporator fan noise and dispenser leaks are the regular calls.
- Washers: Front-load washers with SmartBoost, steam and LuxCare wash, usually in a matched pair. E21 drain codes, door locks, torn boots, bearings and steam faults make up most repairs.
- Dryers: Electric and gas dryers with steam, sensor drying and reversible doors. Igniters, gas valve coils, elements, thermal fuses, rollers and moisture strips are the usual work.
- Dishwashers: Built-in dishwashers with stainless tubs and adjustable racks. Drain restrictions, fill problems, float trips from leaks, latch faults and wash motor failures come up most.
- Ovens: Wall ovens in single, double and microwave-combination form, most with convection. Fan motors, hidden bake elements, broil elements, temperature probes and self-clean latches wear out.
- Microwaves: Over-the-range, built-in and drawer microwaves. No heat, door switch failures, turntable motors, noisy vent fans and drawers that stop opening are the usual problems.
- Freezers: Freezer drawers and sections of Electrolux refrigerators and older ICON freezer columns. Frost from defrost failures, fan motors, ice makers and door seals account for most calls.
- Cooktops: Gas, radiant and induction cooktops in 30- and 36-inch widths. Clicking igniters, a single dead zone, induction error lights and chipped or cracked glass are the common calls.
- Stoves: An Electrolux range in daily use: a burner that won't light, a glass-top element that stays cold, or an oven that crawls to temperature.
- Ranges: Freestanding and front-control slide-in ranges in gas, electric, induction and dual-fuel. Igniters, bake elements, convection fans, sensors and door locks are frequent fixes.
Parts for Electrolux
Electrolux parts move through the same North American distribution as Frigidaire's, and because so many components are shared, routine repairs are rarely held up. Slower items include steam generators, SmartBoost mixing assemblies, washer outer tubs sold as a kit with bearings, and electronics for the retired ICON columns. The model and serial number go into the ticket on the first visit, the part number is confirmed from them, and the expected delivery time is part of the quote you approve.
Common Electrolux Questions
Brief answers to what customers most often ask us. Don't see yours? Ask when you call, or add it to the notes when you book online.
Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Some are, since the same company builds both and many platforms are shared. But a similar-looking part isn't always correct, and Electrolux has revised parts during production. We look up the part for your exact model and serial number rather than relying on a cross-brand match.
Most Electrolux repairs involve a single part such as a pump, igniter, element, fan or lock, and those usually make sense. A failed sealed system on an aging refrigerator or a worn tub bearing on an older front-loader can be a closer call. We give you the quote and tell you plainly if we think it isn't worth doing.
We'd send you to Electrolux first. We aren't part of their authorized service network, and an outside repair during coverage could complicate a warranty claim. Once the coverage period ends, we're glad to take a look.
