Electrolux Dishwasher Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Electrolux. If the dishwasher is still inside its Electrolux warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Electrolux designs its dishwashers
Electrolux dishwashers usually tell you what's wrong by how they fail. One that won't fill can have a closed supply valve, a clogged inlet screen or a failed inlet valve. One that leaves water in the bottom has a filter or drain problem, often at the garbage disposal connection or a kinked hose under the sink. When water reaches the pan under the tub, a float switch shuts the machine down to protect the floor, and a leak at a door gasket, pump seal or spray arm connection is usually behind it. Wash motors and latches fail less often. We clear the filter and sump first, then test the pump, valve and float, because a clean filter solves more calls than any part.
Common failure points on Electrolux dishwashers
- Filter and sump packed with debris
- Drain hose kinked below the sink
- Float switch tripped by a base leak
- Inlet valve screen clogged
- Door latch not engaging

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
The float switch in the base likely detected water and shut the machine off. The source is usually a leaking door gasket, pump seal or hose connection, or foam from a detergent not meant for dishwashers. The source gets found and fixed, the pan is dried, and we make sure the float drops back and the machine restarts.
About once a month for a busy household, more often if you don't scrape plates. Twist out the filter, rinse it under warm water and clear the sump below it. A clogged filter causes poor washing and slow draining more often than any failed part.
