Roper Dishwasher Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
Inside a Roper dishwasher
Roper dishwashers use Whirlpool mechanisms, and most problems are water-related. When one won't drain, a clogged filter, an air gap or a disposal connection is usually to blame, although the drain pump can fail too. When it won't fill, the inlet valve, the float switch or a closed supply valve under the sink is likely. Leaks tend to come from the door gasket, the pump seal or a loose hose clamp. Dishes that come out dirty often point to a clogged filter, a spray arm that doesn't turn or low water temperature. We clean the filter, check the supply and drain, and meter the pump, valve and float switch before recommending any bigger part.
Common failure points on Roper dishwashers
- Air gap clogged at the sink
- Inlet valve screen blocked
- Float switch not closing
- Pump seal dripping
- Spray arm cracked and not spinning

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Often it's the sink side, like a clogged air gap, a blocked disposal inlet or a sink drain that's partly clogged. We check those first. If they're clear, we test the dishwasher's drain pump and hose.
Food particles are recirculating because the filter is clogged, or the spray arms aren't spinning. Cleaning the filter and running hot water at the sink before starting the cycle helps. If it continues, we inspect the pump and spray arms.
