LG Dishwasher Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords

We are independent and have no tie to LG. If the dishwasher is still inside its LG warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.

Stacked & closet laundry
Townhouses and condos often put a stacked washer-dryer in an upstairs closet, so a small drip can end up staining the room underneath. Tell us where the machines sit.
Condo & high-rise rules
Many managed buildings ask for a certificate of insurance, a reserved freight elevator or set work hours. Check with yours and pass the rules along when you book.
Parking & access
Visitor spaces, garage clearance, gate codes and front-desk sign-in all shape a visit. Mention them at booking so nothing holds up the diagnosis.
Rentals & landlords
A tenant can book the visit. We report the fault and the price to the owner or property manager, who signs off before any work starts.
Garages, heat & humidity
A garage fridge or freezer can struggle through a hot, humid summer or a hard cold snap without any part failing. Check the temperature range in its manual.
Straight answers
When an older appliance isn't worth repairing, we say so and explain exactly which part failed.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us What's Wrong

Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.

02

Diagnosis at Your Home

The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.

03

A Price Before Work

We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.

04

Repair and Check

The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.

How LG designs its dishwashers

LG dishwashers use a direct-drive wash motor, an independent drain pump and a leak tray under the tub watched by a float. When water reaches that tray, the machine shows AE or E1 and runs the drain pump as a safety measure, so the question becomes where the water came from: a door gasket, a sump seal, a loose hose connection or overflowing suds. OE means it couldn't drain, usually a clogged filter, a blocked air gap or disposal inlet, or a failed pump. IE is a fill problem; HE points to the heater circuit. QuadWash models add rotating spray arms that jam with debris. We clear and test in that order, because a wet tray without a leak search just brings the code back.

Common failure points on LG dishwashers

  • AE code from water in base pan
  • OE drain code at disposal inlet
  • HE heater circuit fault
  • QuadWash arm jammed by utensil
  • Door gasket leaking at corner

FAQ

LG Dishwasher FAQ

Brief answers to what customers most often ask us. Don't see yours? Ask when you call, or add it to the notes when you book online.

Still have a question?

Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.

Water has reached the base pan and tripped the leak float. Too much detergent or dish soap in the machine can cause it, but so can a real leak. We find where the water came from, dry the pan and test the switch.

The tub didn't reach its fill level in the time the control allows. Make sure the hot-water shutoff under the sink hasn't been left partly closed. If it's wide open, the inlet valve screen, the valve or the flow sensor are the usual causes.
