Booking online? The KitchenAid dishwasher model number in the form lets us check parts before we arrive.
Step one covers the appliance; step two, your contact details. We follow up to book the visit.
KitchenAid Dishwasher Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to KitchenAid. If the dishwasher is still inside its KitchenAid warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How KitchenAid designs its dishwashers
KitchenAid dishwashers use Whirlpool's platform, with a manual-clean filter at the bottom that needs regular rinsing. Neglect that filter and the machine washes poorly, drains slowly and starts to smell. Beyond the filter, drain pumps fail, inlet valves stick, and door latches stop closing the circuit. ProDry models have a fan that pulls moist air through a vent, and a failed fan leaves dishes wet. ProWash and FreeFlex models add sensors and a diverter that direct water to the third rack; a stuck diverter can cause poor results on one level only. We clean and inspect the filter, test pump and valve, and run the diagnostic cycle to read fault codes.
Common failure points on KitchenAid dishwashers
- Manual filter clogged
- Drain pump failing
- Inlet valve sticking
- Door latch not closing circuit
- Drying fan stopped on ProDry models

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Probably not. KitchenAid dishwashers have a filter you clean by hand, and when it clogs, washing suffers. Twist it out, rinse it, and run a cleaning cycle. If problems continue, we check the pump and spray arms.
A diverter or a blocked supply to the third-rack spray may be the cause. We check the diverter motor and the water path to that rack.
