Electrolux Refrigerator Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Electrolux. If the refrigerator is still inside its Electrolux warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Electrolux designs its refrigerators
Electrolux French-door refrigerators keep their ice maker in an insulated compartment in the left door, with cold air ducted up from the freezer. When a seal around that compartment or the duct connection loosens, humid air gets in, frost forms around the ice maker, and cubes fuse into a lump that the auger can't move. The dispenser may then run water but deliver no ice. Beyond the ice system, the usual faults are an evaporator fan that squeals or stops, a defrost heater or thermostat that has opened, and a water line or valve seeping behind the unit. We check which part of the defrost and ducting has failed, since fixing only the ice maker leaves the frost problem in place.
Common failure points on Electrolux refrigerators
- Door ice compartment icing over
- Auger stalled on fused cubes
- Evaporator fan squealing
- Defrost thermostat open
- Dispenser line seeping at the hinge

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Usually the ice compartment has frosted or the cubes have fused into a clump the auger can't turn. Sometimes the ice maker itself has quit. We check the compartment seal, the air duct from the freezer and the defrost system, then the ice maker and auger motor.
Often from the ice compartment. When frost there melts during defrost and the drain path is blocked, water finds its way out along the door. A torn compartment seal can cause the same thing. We trace the water back and fix both the seal and the reason frost built up.
