Electrolux Freezer Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Electrolux. If the freezer is still inside its Electrolux warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Freezer Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Electrolux designs its freezers
Electrolux freezers, whether a bottom drawer on a French-door refrigerator or an older ICON all-freezer column, stay cold by pushing air over an evaporator coil that has to defrost on a schedule. Should the defrost heater, the bimetal thermostat clipped to the coil or the control fail, frost builds until airflow stops, and the freezer warms while the compressor runs constantly. An evaporator fan that fails creates the same symptom without the frost. In humid summer months a drawer that doesn't close fully or a torn gasket frosts the coil faster. Ice makers in the freezer can overfill or stop filling when the water valve or supply line has a problem. We look at the frost pattern on the coil to decide which defrost part failed.
Common failure points on Electrolux freezers
- Coil packed with frost from a defrost fault
- Evaporator fan stopped
- Drawer gasket torn at a corner
- Freezer ice maker not filling
- ICON column control fault

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
The drawer probably isn't sealing. A torn gasket, a misaligned drawer track or items blocking the drawer let moist air in, and it freezes near the gap. We check the gasket and slides and adjust or replace what's needed.
Often, yes. Fans, defrost parts, gaskets and ice makers can usually still be sourced. Some control boards and trim parts are harder to find since the line was retired. We check availability for your serial number before quoting.
