Booking online? The Kenmore oven model number in the form lets us check parts before we arrive.
Step one covers the appliance; step two, your contact details. We follow up to book the visit.
Kenmore Oven Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Kenmore. If the oven is still inside its Kenmore warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
Inside a Kenmore oven
The oven in a Kenmore range is built by the same supplier as the rest of the range, most often Frigidaire or Whirlpool. Electric ovens that won't bake usually have an open bake element, which may or may not show a visible break; if both elements test good, the oven sensor and the relay board are next. On gas ovens, the common failure is a hot-surface igniter that glows but has weakened too much to open the safety valve, so the oven takes forever to light or never does. Self-clean cycles are hard on these ovens. A lock that won't release after cleaning, or a thermal fuse that blew during the cycle, account for many calls. We test before replacing anything, because the sensor, igniter and board can mimic one another.
Common failure points on Kenmore ovens
- Bake element open
- Weak gas igniter
- Door lock stuck after self-clean
- Oven sensor out of range
- Thermal fuse blown during cleaning

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
The heat of the cleaning cycle can blow a thermal fuse, stick the door lock or finish off a weak part. We check those in order.
If it glows but the burner takes a minute or more to light, or doesn't light, the igniter is probably drawing too little current to open the valve. We measure it to confirm.
