Viking Oven Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Viking. If the oven is still inside its Viking warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Viking designs its ovens
A Viking gas wall oven or range oven lights through a partnership between two parts: the glow-bar igniter and the safety valve it's wired to. The valve opens only when the igniter pulls enough current, and an old glow bar can light up bright orange without ever getting there. The owner sees an igniter that looks fine, smells no gas and gets no flame. We put a meter on the circuit and compare the reading to the specification rather than guess. Electric Viking ovens skip that problem but share the others: a TruConvec element or fan motor that fails, sensors that drift, and hinges tired from holding a very heavy door. A door that no longer seals shows up as scorched knobs or uneven baking near the front.
Common failure points on Viking ovens
- Glow bar under its amperage spec
- Safety valve staying closed
- TruConvec element open
- Rear fan motor dragging
- Door sagging on worn hinges

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
The valve needs a certain current through the igniter before it opens. An aging igniter can glow and still draw too little. A meter reading settles whether it's the igniter or the valve.
Convection uses a separate element and fan at the back. If regular bake works, that element or the fan motor is the likely problem, and both can be tested and replaced.
