Thor Kitchen Microwave Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords

We are independent and have no tie to Thor Kitchen. If the microwave is still inside its Thor Kitchen warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.

Stacked & closet laundry
Townhouses and condos often put a stacked washer-dryer in an upstairs closet, so a small drip can end up staining the room underneath. Tell us where the machines sit.
Condo & high-rise rules
Many managed buildings ask for a certificate of insurance, a reserved freight elevator or set work hours. Check with yours and pass the rules along when you book.
Parking & access
Visitor spaces, garage clearance, gate codes and front-desk sign-in all shape a visit. Mention them at booking so nothing holds up the diagnosis.
Rentals & landlords
A tenant can book the visit. We report the fault and the price to the owner or property manager, who signs off before any work starts.
Garages, heat & humidity
A garage fridge or freezer can struggle through a hot, humid summer or a hard cold snap without any part failing. Check the temperature range in its manual.
Straight answers
When an older appliance isn't worth repairing, we say so and explain exactly which part failed.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us What's Wrong

Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.

02

Diagnosis at Your Home

The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.

03

A Price Before Work

We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.

04

Repair and Check

The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.

How Thor Kitchen designs its microwaves

Thor sells microwave drawers and built-in microwaves. The drawer version is really two machines in one cabinet. One is a small powered slide, with a drive motor, gears and switches that report where the drawer is; the other is an ordinary microwave that refuses to cook until those switches say the drawer is fully closed. So a drawer that jams, reverses or sits half open is a slide problem, and a crumb-packed track or a bent rail can be enough. Cold food with a working drawer sends us into the high-voltage circuit instead. Touch panels on drawers sit right above the steam, and moisture can creep behind them. Before any testing we bleed the capacitor, and we check with Thor on part timing before quoting.

Common failure points on Thor Kitchen microwaves

  • Drawer won't open on command
  • Drawer stops partway
  • Food stays cold
  • Door switch failed
  • Control panel unresponsive

Safe checks to try before booking are on our general microwave guide.

FAQ

Thor Kitchen Microwave FAQ

Brief answers to what customers most often ask us. Don't see yours? Ask when you call, or add it to the notes when you book online.

Still have a question?

Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.

Debris in the slide, a stripped gear or a switch that loses track of the drawer's position. We run the slide by hand and on power to see which.

In most cases, since the slide parts and switches cost far less than a new built-in unit. The exception is an older drawer whose board is no longer sold.
