Insignia microwave repair
Insignia Microwave Repair in Northern Virginia
In-home Insignia microwave repair across our Northern Virginia service area. Countertop and over-the-range microwaves. Door switches, fuses, vent fans and touch panels on over-the-range units are what we replace; countertop units rarely justify repair.

Step one covers the appliance; step two, your contact details. We follow up to book the visit.
Insignia Microwave Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Insignia. If the microwave is still inside its Insignia warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
Inside an Insignia microwave
Insignia sells countertop and over-the-range microwaves. Countertop models are inexpensive enough that most repairs beyond a fuse or door switch don't make sense, and we'll say so. Over-the-range models are mounted in cabinetry and include a vent fan and lights, so repair is more often worthwhile. The usual faults are a door interlock switch that blows the fuse, a failed magnetron or diode that stops heating, and a vent fan clogged with grease. We discharge the capacitor before testing high-voltage parts, check interlocks and fuses, and give you a straight repair-versus-replace answer.
Common failure points on Insignia microwaves
- Interlock switch blew fuse
- Magnetron failed
- High-voltage diode shorted
- Vent fan clogged
- Touch panel unresponsive

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Rarely. Beyond a door switch or fuse, parts often cost close to a new unit. Over-the-range models are a different story, since replacing them involves mounting and venting.
