LG Microwave Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords

We are independent and have no tie to LG. If the microwave is still inside its LG warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.

Stacked & closet laundry
Townhouses and condos often put a stacked washer-dryer in an upstairs closet, so a small drip can end up staining the room underneath. Tell us where the machines sit.
Condo & high-rise rules
Many managed buildings ask for a certificate of insurance, a reserved freight elevator or set work hours. Check with yours and pass the rules along when you book.
Parking & access
Visitor spaces, garage clearance, gate codes and front-desk sign-in all shape a visit. Mention them at booking so nothing holds up the diagnosis.
Rentals & landlords
A tenant can book the visit. We report the fault and the price to the owner or property manager, who signs off before any work starts.
Garages, heat & humidity
A garage fridge or freezer can struggle through a hot, humid summer or a hard cold snap without any part failing. Check the temperature range in its manual.
Straight answers
When an older appliance isn't worth repairing, we say so and explain exactly which part failed.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us What's Wrong

Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.

02

Diagnosis at Your Home

The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.

03

A Price Before Work

We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.

04

Repair and Check

The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.

How LG designs its microwaves

LG microwaves include over-the-range models that vent the cooktop and countertop units, some with convection or sensor cooking. One that spins and lights up yet leaves food cold usually has a failed magnetron, diode, capacitor or high-voltage transformer. One that's completely dead has often blown its main fuse, and the reason is usually a failed door interlock switch. Over-the-range models add a vent fan, cooktop light and grease filters, and a fan that won't stop can be a heat sensor responding to the cooktop below. The touch panel on heavily used buttons eventually wears. Internal parts hold a dangerous charge, so we discharge and test on site, and plan for two people to lift an over-the-range unit.

Common failure points on LG microwaves

  • High-voltage diode shorted
  • Main fuse blown by interlock
  • Vent fan stuck on high
  • Sensor cooking giving up early
  • Turntable motor stalled

FAQ

LG Microwave FAQ

Brief answers to what customers most often ask us. Don't see yours? Ask when you call, or add it to the notes when you book online.

Still have a question?

Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.

A failed door interlock switch often causes that. Replacing only the fuse won't fix it. We test all the interlock switches and replace the faulty one along with the fuse.

The sensor judges doneness from steam. Covering food tightly, or a dirty sensor, can confuse it. If it misreads with the cover off, the sensor or control needs testing.
