Fisher & Paykel Microwave Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Fisher & Paykel. If the microwave is still inside its Fisher & Paykel warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Fisher & Paykel designs its microwaves
Microwave drawers from Fisher & Paykel open and close on a motor and gear drive, so a drawer that stalls halfway or reverses on its own is usually a drive, track or sensor problem rather than anything to do with heating. The heating side fails the usual way: a magnetron, high-voltage diode or capacitor goes out and the unit runs, lights and spins without warming food. Door interlock switches wear on both drawer and built-in models. Combination convection and speed ovens add an element and fan. Because high-voltage parts hold a charge after the power is off, we discharge and test them safely and never leave a microwave running with an interlock bypassed.
Common failure points on Fisher & Paykel microwaves
- Drawer drive motor or gear stalled
- Magnetron or HV diode failed
- Interlock switch worn
- Touch panel not registering
- Convection element open on speed oven

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Generally yes. A small motor, a gear train and a position sensor move that drawer, and the fault is nearly always in that chain. We check the drive and track before touching the control board.
