JennAir Microwave Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to JennAir. If the microwave is still inside its JennAir warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How JennAir designs its microwaves
Three different machines share the JennAir microwave label. The built-in is a conventional microwave inside a trim kit. The drawer adds a motorized slide and a set of position switches, and it won't energize until those switches agree the drawer is closed, which is why a stalled drawer never heats. The speed oven pairs the microwave with a convection element and fan so it can brown and bake. Cold food on any of them points into the high-voltage path, and a drawer or speed oven can also lose its touch panel to steam. Removing a built-in means backing out the trim screws and supporting its weight, which we plan for. The capacitor is always discharged before we test anything.
Common failure points on JennAir microwaves
- Drawer stalls partway
- Speed oven convection element out
- No heat from a high-voltage fault
- Door switch failed
- Control panel dead

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Usually. We first clear the slide and cycle it; if it still won't move, the motor, a gear or a switch that reports the drawer's position is the part to replace.
The convection element, its fan or a relay may have failed. We test the convection side separately from the microwave side.
