Blomberg Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords

Blomberg builds appliances around small footprints and low energy use, and that shapes nearly every repair we do on the brand. The laundry is 24 inches wide and often stacked, the dryers keep their moisture inside the cabinet, and the dishwashers run long, cool cycles on purpose. We are not an authorized Blomberg service center. If your appliance is still covered by the maker's warranty, contact Blomberg first; once it isn't, we can diagnose it in your home and quote the fix before any work begins.

Stacked & closet laundry
Townhouses and condos often put a stacked washer-dryer in an upstairs closet, so a small drip can end up staining the room underneath. Tell us where the machines sit.
Condo & high-rise rules
Many managed buildings ask for a certificate of insurance, a reserved freight elevator or set work hours. Check with yours and pass the rules along when you book.
Parking & access
Visitor spaces, garage clearance, gate codes and front-desk sign-in all shape a visit. Mention them at booking so nothing holds up the diagnosis.
Rentals & landlords
A tenant can book the visit. We report the fault and the price to the owner or property manager, who signs off before any work starts.
Garages, heat & humidity
A garage fridge or freezer can struggle through a hot, humid summer or a hard cold snap without any part failing. Check the temperature range in its manual.
Straight answers
When an older appliance isn't worth repairing, we say so and explain exactly which part failed.

How a Repair Visit Works

01

Tell Us What's Wrong

Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.

02

Diagnosis at Your Home

The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.

03

A Price Before Work

We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.

04

Repair and Check

The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.

Blomberg

An old German name with Turkish engineering behind it

Bernhard Blomberg started a metalworking business in Germany in 1883, and the company turned to household appliances in the 1930s. Arçelik, the Turkish manufacturer behind Beko, bought the name in 2002. In the United States, Blomberg is handled by the same organization that sells Beko, and the two brands share a good deal of hardware under different styling.

That shared parentage is useful at repair time. A Blomberg is not an orphan import; its pumps, locks, sensors and heaters come from a large manufacturer that keeps a North American parts channel.

Small machines for tight floor plans

Blomberg's compact laundry makes sense wherever a full-size pair won't fit or a dryer can't be vented outdoors. Around Northern Virginia that describes a lot of condos along the Metro lines, where the laundry sits in a hallway closet, and many townhouses where the washer and dryer are stacked on the bedroom level.

A stacked pair on an upper floor changes how we work. We check the drain standpipe, the water shutoffs and the pan under the washer, because a slow leak there shows up first as a stain on the ceiling below.

Behavior that looks like a fault but isn't

Many Blomberg calls start with a machine that is working as designed. A wash cycle that runs close to two hours, a heat pump dryer whose air never feels hot, dishes that come out damp on an eco setting: these are traits of efficient European designs, not failures.

We sort that out first. When the machine really has a problem, it is usually a clogged filter, a door lock, a pump, a sensor or a heater, and each of those is a separate replaceable part.

Keeping a Blomberg running

Most of the upkeep is filter cleaning. The washer has a pump trap behind a flap at the bottom front, the dryer has a door lint screen plus a second filter guarding the heat exchanger, and the dishwasher has a cylinder filter in the tub floor. Skipping any one of them produces most of the error messages we're called about.

Give the dryer room to breathe as well. A heat pump or condenser dryer tucked into a closet with a solid door has nowhere to shed its warmth, and drying times stretch out.

Blomberg products we see

  • Refrigerators: Counter-depth bottom-freezer and French door models, plus narrow 24-inch units for small kitchens. We handle defrost faults, fans, sensors and doors that no longer seal.
  • Washers: 24-inch front-loaders that stack under a matching dryer. Pump trap blockages, door locks, bearings, shock absorbers and the internal water heater are the main repairs.
  • Dryers: Compact heat pump and condenser dryers that need no outside vent, plus some vented models. Clogged heat exchangers, full-tank errors, drain pumps and slow drying lead the list.
  • Dishwashers: 24-inch built-in dishwashers with a third cutlery rack, including panel-ready versions. Drain pumps, flow-through heaters, leak sensors and door hinge cables fail most.
  • Ovens: Blomberg wall ovens and range ovens, most with a convection fan. Elements, the fan motor, the oven probe and door gaskets account for most of the work.
  • Microwaves: Microwaves carrying the Blomberg name that sit alongside its ovens. Usual faults: no heating, door switches, a dead control panel and a turntable that won't turn.
  • Freezers: The freezer drawer of Blomberg's bottom-freezer refrigerators. Typical complaints: frost on the back panel, a fan that has stopped and drawers that ride off their tracks.
  • Cooktops: Gas cooktops with sealed burners, plus induction and radiant glass cooktops. Spark electrodes, ignition modules, induction power boards and cracked glass are common repairs.
  • Stoves: The everyday cooking side of a Blomberg range: burners that won't catch, a knob that spins loose, a surface zone that stays cold.
  • Ranges: 24-inch and 30-inch gas, electric and induction ranges. Igniters, spark switches, bake elements, convection fans and oven sensors wear out most.

Parts for Blomberg

Blomberg parts come through the brand's North American parts and service channel, which it shares with Beko. Pump filters, drain pumps, door locks, gaskets, heaters and igniters for current models are normally obtainable. Some parts are common to both brands, but we order only what is listed for your model number, and we tell you before ordering when a part is an equivalent or when a board has a long lead time.

FAQ

Common Blomberg Questions

Brief answers to what customers most often ask us. Don't see yours? Ask when you call, or add it to the notes when you book online.

Still have a question?

Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.

Both brands belong to Arçelik, and in the U.S. they are sold by the same organization. They share many components, but the model number on your appliance decides which parts are correct.

Many repairs happen from the front with the pair in place. Some washer jobs, like bearings or shocks, need the dryer lifted off first, and we tell you that when we diagnose.

Long cycles are built into the design to save water and power. We compare the run time with the program chart before treating it as a fault.

Contact Blomberg first while the maker's warranty applies, since we are independent. We can take the job once that coverage no longer covers the repair.
