ASKO Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
ASKO is a Swedish brand, and in North America it sells mainly dishwashers and laundry. We repair ASKO independently and aren't part of any ASKO service network. If your appliance is under the maker's warranty, contact ASKO first. Once it's past that, we diagnose it in your home, explain what failed and quote the repair before starting.
How a Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.

ASKO Products We Service
A Swedish brand under Hisense
ASKO began in Vara, Sweden, in 1950. Gorenje, the Slovenian appliance maker, bought it in 2010, and Hisense acquired Gorenje in 2018. Production has moved to Gorenje's facilities in Velenje, Slovenia, while design and management remain in Sweden.
In the United States, ASKO focuses on dishwashers and 24-inch laundry, both built with a lot of stainless steel and a compact footprint.
Compact laundry for closets and condos
ASKO's 24-inch washers and dryers stack neatly in hall closets and small laundry rooms, which makes them a natural fit in Arlington condos, Reston apartments and townhouses with a second-floor laundry. A washer above a finished room needs its drain and seals in good shape, because a drip up there ends up as a stain on the ceiling underneath.
What makes an ASKO repair different
ASKO dishwashers have stainless tubs and fairly simple mechanical layouts, and they include leak detection in the base. ASKO washers spin fast and rely on a strong suspension; dryers include vented, condensing and heat-pump designs, each with its own failure points.
European models often use their own fault-code language and service modes. We read the codes, then confirm with tests rather than replacing parts on the code alone.
Finding ASKO parts
Parts come through ASKO's North American distribution and a few specialist suppliers. Wear items like pumps, seals and belts are usually available; boards and some model-specific parts can take longer. We match parts to the model and serial number, confirm availability during the visit, and say so if we'd use an equivalent.
ASKO products we see
- Washers: 24-inch front-load washers with stainless drums, often stacked with the matching dryer. Drain pumps, door locks, bearings, suspension parts and controls are the typical repairs.
- Dryers: 24-inch vented, condensing and heat-pump dryers. Heating elements, thermal cutouts, condenser clogs, pumps, belts and moisture sensors come up most often.
- Dishwashers: Built-in dishwashers with stainless tubs, including panel-ready models. Drain pumps, circulation pumps, inlet valves, leak sensors, door springs and controls are the common calls.

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
The brand was founded in Sweden and keeps design and management there, but it has been owned by Gorenje since 2010, and Gorenje by Hisense since 2018. Production is now in Slovenia.
Common parts are usually available. Some boards and model-specific items take longer. We check availability before you approve a repair.
Contact ASKO first, since we are independent and not authorized by the brand. After the warranty period, we can diagnose and repair it.
