Whirlpool Range Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Whirlpool. If the range is still inside its Whirlpool warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Whirlpool designs its ranges
Newer Whirlpool ranges, freestanding and slide-in, depend on an electronic control that runs the oven, reads the sensor and displays error codes. When the oven won't heat and the display shows a code, we read it first and test the part it points to before suspecting the board. Relays on the board can fail after years of switching the bake and broil elements. Touch panels can stop responding to one key or several. Gas ranges use a glow-bar oven igniter, and convection models add a fan that can stop or grind. Slide-in ranges sit tight between cabinets, so any repair that needs rear access is planned. Anti-tip brackets should be installed on every range, and we check for one.
Common failure points on Whirlpool ranges
- Control relay not switching elements
- Touch panel keys dead
- Oven igniter weakened
- Convection fan motor stopped
- Oven sensor out of range

Whirlpool Range FAQ
Brief answers to what customers most often ask us. Don't see yours? Ask when you call, or add it to the notes when you book online.
Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Write down the code. It usually points to a sensor, element, igniter or control relay. We test that part first and check the board after, so you're not buying a board you don't need.
Without it, weight on the open oven door, whether a heavy roasting pan or a child climbing, can tip the range forward. The installation instructions call for one, and it matters most in a house with small children.
