Maytag Range Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Maytag. If the range is still inside its Maytag warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Maytag designs its ranges
Maytag ranges include freestanding, front-control and slide-in models, and features such as Power Burner on gas tops and Power Preheat for the oven. Power Preheat runs extra elements at once, so a weak bake or convection element shows up there first. Electric ranges connect through a 240-volt cord and terminal block; a loose lug can scorch and cut power to half the range. Slide-in models sit tight between cabinets, which traps heat around the controls and makes removal slower. On gas ranges, the 120-volt supply feeds igniters and electronics, so a tripped GFCI can look like a dead range. We check power and fuel supply before we assume anything inside has failed.
Common failure points on Maytag ranges
- Terminal block scorched at cord
- Convection element burned open
- Power Burner igniter worn
- Relay on control board not closing
- Slide-in control overheating

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Power Preheat relies on several heating parts running together. If one element or the convection fan has failed, preheat slows even though the feature is on. We test each part to find the missing one.
Slightly. It has to be eased out between cabinets and the counter, and floors need protecting. The parts themselves are similar, so the difference is mostly time and care during removal.
