GE Appliances Range Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to GE Appliances. If the range is still inside its GE Appliances warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How GE Appliances designs its ranges
GE ranges include freestanding and slide-in models in gas, electric, dual fuel and induction, and the Profile and Café lines add convection, air fry modes and Wi-Fi controls. Behind the variety, the repair logic is consistent. For the cooktop we check the ignition system on gas, the elements and switches on electric, and the power boards on induction. For the oven we check the heating elements or igniter, the sensor, the door lock and the relays on the control board. A slide-in range sits deep in the cabinet opening, so we plan for pulling it forward without damaging the countertop or floor, and we confirm that the anti-tip bracket is back in place afterward.
Common failure points on GE Appliances ranges
- Oven relay on the board not closing
- Convection fan element open
- Hot-surface igniter weak
- Induction power board fault
- Surface element terminal burned

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
F codes on GE ranges point to a circuit, like a sensor, a door lock or a key press, not always to the board itself. We check the part named by the code and its wiring first. The board is only replaced when those test fine.
Wi-Fi connection problems are usually a router or app setup issue rather than a repair. If the range's cooking functions work normally, we'd suggest GE's app support first. We fix the cooking side of the range.
