DCS Range Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to DCS. If the range is still inside its DCS warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How DCS designs its ranges
DCS pro-style ranges came in widths from 30 to 48 inches, as all-gas or dual-fuel models, with options such as a grill or griddle section and, on wider ranges, a second oven. They use sealed dual-flow burners with automatic reignition and large convection ovens. Most repairs involve ignition parts, oven igniters on gas models, elements on dual-fuel models, temperature probes and door hinges. On a two-oven range, each cavity has its own igniter or elements, so one can fail while the other works. Dual-fuel models need both a 240-volt circuit for the ovens and gas for the top, so a problem with either supply affects different functions. We check power and gas first, then work through the component behind the complaint.
Common failure points on DCS ranges
- Small oven igniter failed
- Dual-fuel bake element open
- Oven probe out of range
- Door hinge sagging
- Grill section won't light

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Each oven has its own igniter or elements and controls, so a fault is usually confined to the one that isn't heating. We diagnose that cavity separately.
The ovens run on the 240-volt supply, while the burners need only gas and a 120-volt spark. A tripped breaker or loose connection can take out the ovens alone. We check the supply first.
