Roper Stove Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Roper. If the stove is still inside its Roper warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
Inside a Roper stove
Roper stoves are usually 30-inch freestanding electric ranges with coil tops, plus some gas models. Many sit in rentals and basement apartments, and faults are mostly practical ones: a coil that stays cold or stays on, a burner that won't light, an oven that won't heat or runs off temperature. A stove that's completely dead may have a tripped breaker or a burned terminal block where the power cord connects. We check the supply first, then test the cooktop and oven separately. After the repair, we check that the anti-tip bracket is installed, which is especially important in a rental where a child could climb on the open door.
Common failure points on Roper stoves
- Power cord terminal block burned
- Coil not heating
- Switch stuck on high
- Oven element open
- Gas oven igniter weak

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
The display and light need less power than the heating circuits, so a single tripped leg of the 240-volt supply can leave them on while elements stay cold. We check the breaker and the terminal block first.
A freestanding range can tip forward if weight is put on the open oven door. The bracket prevents that. It's often left out after a move or floor work, and we reinstall it when needed.
