Booking online? The Hotpoint stove model number in the form lets us check parts before we arrive.
Step one covers the appliance; step two, your contact details. We follow up to book the visit.
Hotpoint Stove Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Hotpoint. If the stove is still inside its Hotpoint warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
Inside a Hotpoint stove
A Hotpoint stove is usually either an electric coil range or a basic gas range, and it's often the only cooking appliance in a rental or starter kitchen. When the whole stove goes dead, check the breaker first, since electric ranges run on a 240-volt circuit and half of it can trip, leaving some parts working. Gas stoves need a working outlet for ignition even though they burn gas. On the cooktop, receptacles, switches and igniters fail; in the oven, elements, igniters and thermostats do. We test the supply, then each circuit in turn, so we can tell you exactly which part failed and what the fix involves.
Common failure points on Hotpoint stoves
- Half the 240-volt supply tripped
- Oven igniter glowing but not lighting
- Coil receptacle arcing
- Surface switch loose in the panel
- Gas burner spark electrode dirty

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
It might be the power. An electric range uses two legs of a 240-volt circuit; if one leg trips or a breaker fails, some elements work and others don't. We check the supply before blaming the range.
Yes, for the igniters and the oven control. During a power outage, some gas burners can be lit carefully with a match, but the oven usually won't work without power.
