Miele Dryer Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Miele. If the dryer is still inside its Miele warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Dryer Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Miele designs its dryers
Heat pump T1 dryers don't burn gas or run a big heating coil. They move heat with a small refrigeration circuit, and they depend completely on clean airflow across the heat exchanger. When drying times double, the cause is almost always lint: in the door filter, in the plinth filter behind the lower panel, or packed on the exchanger fins. After airflow, the condensate side matters. Water pulled from the clothes either runs to a drain or collects in a container, and a blocked pump or kinked hose stops the cycle with a message. Belts and drum rollers wear as in any dryer. Only after those checks do we suspect the compressor or its control, and on an older machine that is where the repair-or-replace conversation happens.
Common failure points on Miele dryers
- Plinth filter clogged with lint
- Heat exchanger fins matted
- Condensate pump blocked
- Drain hose kinked behind the dryer
- Moisture sensor bars coated
Faults shared by every make are explained on the main dryer repair page.

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Clean the door filter and the plinth filter at the bottom front, and rinse the plinth filter if the manual allows. If times stay long, lint on the heat exchanger or a condensate problem is likely, and those are checked next.
Some warmth is normal, since a heat pump dryer moves heat into the room. Heavy humidity or water on the floor is not. That points to a condensate or drain problem, or a gasket that isn't sealing.
