Frigidaire Dryer Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Frigidaire. If the dryer is still inside its Frigidaire warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Dryer Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Frigidaire designs its dryers
A Frigidaire dryer that tumbles but doesn't heat usually has a blown thermal fuse, and the reason it blew is often a clogged vent. Gas dryers use an igniter and valve coils, and weak coils let the flame go out after a few seconds. Electric dryers use a heating element that breaks with age or overheating. Laundry center dryers sit above the washer and often vent through a short but tight duct, which can collect lint quickly. Squealing or thumping usually comes from worn drum rollers, idler pulleys or belts. We check the vent and airflow first, then test the fuse, thermostats and heating parts, because replacing a fuse without fixing the vent will lead to another call.
Common failure points on Frigidaire dryers
- Thermal fuse blown by a lint-choked vent
- Igniter glowing, flame not staying lit
- Element broken on an electric model
- Idler pulley squealing
- Belt snapped, drum not turning

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Often, yes. The thermal fuse blows when the dryer overheats, usually because of a blocked vent. We replace the fuse only after checking and clearing the vent, otherwise it will blow again.
Yes. The dryer has its own element or burner, fuse, belt and rollers, and those can be replaced separately. Whether it's worth doing depends on the age and condition of the washer below it, which we look at too.
