Step one covers the appliance; step two, your contact details. We follow up to book the visit.
Maytag Washer Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Maytag. If the washer is still inside its Maytag warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Washer Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Maytag designs its washers
Most Maytag washers we see are Whirlpool-platform top-loaders sold under the Commercial Technology name, including Pet Pro models. They lock the lid before spinning, use a shifter to swap between wash and spin, and rely on a drain pump that can be stopped by a coin or a sock. A machine that fills and washes but stalls at spin is often a lid lock or shifter fault, and the display usually confirms it with a code. Pet Pro models add a hair filter reservoir that, if ignored, slows draining. Front-loaders bring door boot mold, pump filters and bearing noise. Older Centennial and Bravos machines have their own drive quirks. We run the built-in service test to narrow it down before quoting.
Common failure points on Maytag washers
- Lid lock not confirming closed
- Shift actuator stuck between modes
- Pet Pro filter packed with hair
- Drain pump jammed by a coin
- Front-load tub bearings grinding

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Yes. It collects hair in a reservoir that you empty after heavy loads. When it's full, water drains slowly and hair ends up back on clothes. If emptying it doesn't restore normal draining, we check the pump and hose.
On these models the lid lock or the shift actuator is the usual suspect. The control tries to lock the lid or change modes, fails to confirm it, and stops the cycle. A service test tells us which part isn't responding.
