Frigidaire Washer Repair for Owners, Renters and Landlords
We are independent and have no tie to Frigidaire. If the washer is still inside its Frigidaire warranty, the manufacturer should be your first call. Once that coverage has ended, include the model number and the symptom in your booking so parts can be looked up ahead of the visit.
How a Washer Repair Visit Works
Tell Us What's Wrong
Name the make, add the model number if it is handy, and describe the symptom. A picture of the label inside the door lets us check parts.
Diagnosis at Your Home
The technician tests the appliance along with its power, water, drain, gas or vent connections until the fault is confirmed.
A Price Before Work
We name the failed part and give you the cost of fixing it. Work starts only after you agree.
Repair and Check
The part is installed and the appliance is run through a cycle so you can watch it working.
How Frigidaire designs its washers
Frigidaire washers include top-loaders, front-loaders and stacked laundry centers, and the common failures differ. Top-loaders often stop spinning because of a failed lid switch or lid lock, and worn suspension springs cause loud banging during spin. Laundry centers pack the washer into a tight frame beneath the dryer, so the drain pump, belt and transmission are harder to reach but still serviceable. Front-loaders fail on door locks, drain pumps and door boots, and bearings get loud over time. In a rental unit, overloaded machines and small socks in the pump are common causes. We check the switch, pump and suspension before looking at the control or transmission.
Common failure points on Frigidaire washers
- Lid switch not closing the circuit
- Suspension springs stretched
- Laundry center belt slipping
- Front-load door lock failed
- Drain pump blocked by small items

Still have a question?
Get in touch with the brand, the symptom and, if you can find it, the model number. Some things we can answer right away; others need a technician in front of the machine.
Often the cause is a lid switch, belt or drain pump, which are routine repairs. A failed transmission is the costly case, and on an older unit it may not be worth doing. We diagnose it and tell you which one it is before quoting.
It's usually an unbalanced load, but if it happens with every load, the suspension springs or dampers may be worn. We check them and the machine's leveling.
